Day 1: Cusco General city tour Explorer – Inca ruins – Cusco mirador to Superb Lodge. The driver and your Guide, we will await in airport in Cusco to begin this Journey. From here you will head to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas where you will visit the famous cathedral. After touring this sacred colonial church you will continue on foot with your group through an ancient Inca-built street from the Plaza de Armas to Qoricancha, the Temple of the planets and Milky Way. In Qoricancha you will observe the clash between Inca culture and Catholicism, you will have the opportunity to see firsthand the difference in building methods, The Inca building here are amazing as this was the very important temple of the Incas time where all their highways used to depart from, there high altar made in bronze is the high light. Then, we are going to stop for the lunch, After lunch the visit from Cusco Restaurant, where you will take your bus to drive up ,outside of the city, the drive last 20 minutes until you arrive to the majestic Inca site SAQSAYHUAMAN where your guide will guided you around with a nice walking ride , them, From SAQSAYHUAMAN you will take a bus for very short time to Quenqo Inca site where you will observe some altars from Incas time, then drive to Puca Pucara a very important lookout point and main control Inca site ,then we will continue visit TAMBOMACHAY the temple of water with its impressive water fountains. Along the way we will visit Incas animal farmer, a weaving center and alpaca farm where you will observe the difference between llamas, alpacas, and others, as well as the different varieties of potatoes and corn that are special to the Sacred Valley. After enjoy with picture whit animals then, we will drive in the direction of hard center of the sacred valley of the Incas to Urubamba Yanahuara Inca town to INTIBAMBA LODGE where the wander ends at your Lodge. Day 2: Pisaq Inca Town & Traditionsl Market & Sacred Valley with Ollantaytambo Town. At 8:30AM be ready at your Hotel lobby, your guide will come and pick you up and bring you to your first destination, From Superb Lodge, we will head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas time. Along the way we will visit Incas palaces in Yucay, colonial churches in Yucay, small Incas community, and museums, from pre Incas, and area of Guainía pigs and others. We will drive to Pisaq Inca Ruins. These are another amazing ruin that is located on top of one of the mountains in the Sacred Valley. We will see hundreds of terraces for agriculture, where the Incas farmed corn, potatoes, and quinoa. We will also see the religious and astronomical side of the Inca at these ruins. This will be an amazing place to take photos as you will be at the top of the Sacred Valley with endless views. Accommodations: INTIBAMBA HOTEL. Meals: Not Included Entrance Tickets: Included
Day 3: Maras Colonial Town– Moray Inca setting-up – Chincheros and stop two look points. Breakfast will be at 6:30AM on Day 3. After breakfast, we will drive to Salineras/Maras Salt Mines. This mine was extremely important to the Incas and was their supply for salt and still provides salt today. There are 2800 salt pools which act as evaporation chambers for this salt water spring which spills out of the mountain and down the mountainside at 12,000 feet above sea level. These are owned by local farmers and have become the main economic activity for all locals that live nearby. On top of being historical and useful, the Maras salt mines are quite a sight to see and just plain beautiful. After the mines, we will drive to Moray Inca Archeological Center. The Inca used Moray as a way to study farming. They built to improved different vegetables to see what grew best and at which temperature. You will see the terraces of Moray – each terrace was best for certain types of growth and the Incas studied and practiced to see which worked best. Day 4: Superb Machu Picchu Tour Today is the most important day since we will be visiting Machu Picchu. Because it’s so special, we encourage you to wake up early in the morning to enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then get to the bus station to try to catch one of the first buses, which start at 5.30 am (they are more like shuttles, all first come, and first serve – and leave as soon as they fill up). This bus will take about 25 minutes up a switchback road to get to Machu Picchu. As soon as you arrive to the complex, it is our job to take you to the best spot to overlook all the ruins and get a panoramic view of the landscape and the sunrise over the mountains. There will be to observe the sunrise (weather permitting) in order to get a spectacular view of the Lost City of the Incas. You will then have a 2-hour guided around Machu Picchu with plenty of free time afterwards to explore on your own. If you have tickets to climb one of the amazing mountains of Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu, your guide will direct you to where to begin this hike after the tour. Please make sure this is arranged at least 2 months in advance of your visit as tickets do sell out in advance, especially for Huayna Picchu. Once you are done with exploring all Machu Picchu has to offer, you will take a bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then take an afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo to Superb Lodge, or for there you will have private transportation to Cusco where we will drop you off at your hotel or airport Cusco.
